Pastel: In Main Color

Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)

Round 2: *Inc* all around (12)

Round 3: *Inc, sc* all around (18)

Round 4: *Inc, 2 sc* all around (24)

Round 5: *Inc, 3 sc* all around (30)

Round 6: *Inc, 4 sc* all around (36)

Round 7: *Inc, 5 sc* all around (42)

Change to frosting color

Round 8: Now we will make the icing stitch. * Pass the yarn over (Photo 1) and insert the hook in the next st (Photo 2). Thread the yarn over again (Photo 3) and pull through the st (Photos 4-5). Thread the yarn back through (Photo 6) and pull through 2 of the loops on the hook (Photo 7). Repeat steps 1-7 a total of 6 times. (Photo 9). You will have a total of 7 sts on the hook. Thread the yarn back through (Photo 10) and pull all the loops on the hook (Photo 11). This completes 1 frosting point. SC in the next st * Repeat this around (42)

Change to main color

Rows 9-11: *Sc* around (42)

Round 12: sc in the next 20 sts. Sc in the next st and add a marker of another color to the sc you just made. This marks where to place the eye. sc in the next 3 sts. Sc in the next st and add a different color marker to the sc that was just made. Pb in the last 17 points (42)

Rows 13-17: *Pb* around (42)

Now add the safety eyes. Change to the color of the frosting.

Round 18: Now we will do the glazed stitch again. *Icing stitch in next st, sc in next st* Repeat all around (42)

Change to main color

Round 19: In BLO (back loop only), repeat *dec in next st, sc in next 5 sts* all around (36)

Row 20: In BOTH loops, repeat *dec, 4 sc* all around (30)

Round 21: *Dec, 3 sc* all around (24)

Round 22: *Dec, 2 sc* all around (18)

Fill here. Keep refilling after each round

Round 23: *Dec, sc* all around (12)

Round 24: *Dec* all around (6)

Finish. Sew the bottom to close.

Smile for the cupcake: In black embroidery thread

Insert the needle with the thread into the cake and pull the needle out from under the right eye as shown (Photo 1). Insert the needle into the center of the cupcake and pull it out from under the left eye, as shown in Photo 2. Reinsert the needle into the center of the mouth and pull out the original insertion point (Photo 3).

Toppings

Icing spiral: Blank

Round 1: 19 Pc. Sc in 2nd sc from hook. Dc in the next 3 sts, hdc (You can do dc here for a bigger swirl) in the next 14 sts (18) Bind off.

Hold the part with sc and fold it up as shown (Photo 2). Now fold the rest of the piece around (Photos 3-4). Sew the cream into place and place it on the cake as shown above.

Cookies: Make 2 in black, 1 in white

Round 1: 6 Dc in magic ring (6)

Row 2: *2 Dc in each st* around (12)

Finish off. Place the white part between the black cookies and sew them together. Pin cookie to cake as shown and sew.

Lemon: In yellow

Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)

Rounds 2-3: *Sc* around (6)

Round 4: *Inc* around (12)

Round 5: *Sc* around (12)

Round 6: *Inc, 2 sc* all around (16)

Rounds 7-10: *Sc* all around (16)

Round 11: *Dec, 2 sc* all around (12)

Round 12: *Sc* all around (12)

Round 13: *Dec* all around (6)

Rounds 14-15: *Sc* all around (6)

Finish off.

Lemon Smile: In black embroidery thread

Insert the needle with the thread into the lemon and pull the needle out from under the right eye as shown (Photo 1). Insert the needle into the central area of the lemon and pull the needle out from under the left eye, as shown (Photo 2). Reinsert the needle into the center of the mouth and remove it from the original insertion point (Photo 3).

Pin and sew.

Flower: In pink or red

Round 1: 30 PCs. Dc in 2nd sc from hook. Dc in the next 27 sts (30)

Top off. Roll the flower from one end to the other to form the flower (Photos 1-3). Sew the flower (Photo 4). Pin to cake and sew.

Flower Leaf: (Make 2) In Green

Round 1: 7 PCs. Sc in next st, dc in next 2 sts, tr in next st, dc in next st, sc in last st.

Top off. Pin to the cake, next to the flower.

Strawberry: In Red

Round 1: 6 SC in the magic ring (6)

Round 2: *Inc, 2 sc* all around (8)

Rounds 3-4: *Sc* around (8)

Round 5: *Inc, sc* all around (12)

Round 6: *Pb* around (12)

Round 7: *Inc, sc* all around (18)

Rounds 8-9: *Sc* around (18)

Round 10: *Dec, sc* all around (12)

Round 11: *Dec* all around (6)

Sew now. Fasten off and sew to close.

Strawberry Top: In green

Round 1: 6 SC in the magic ring (6)

Round 2: *Sc in the next st. 3 PCs. Sc in 2nd sc from hook. sc in the next ch.* 6 times. Pr in the next st to complete. Top off. Pin and sew to the top of the strawberry.

Pin the strawberry to the top of the cake and sew.

Cherry: In Red

Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)

Round 2: *Inc* around (12)

Rounds 3-5: *Sc* around (12)

Round 6: *Dec* all around (6)

Fill now. Finish off leaving a long tail. Sew to close. Now pull the long tail to the top of the cherry. Tie a knot 2-3 times as shown. Cut the thread above the knot. Pin it to the cake and sew it.
