Long Crochet Leg Warmers FREE PATTERN

The leg is worked in rows back and forth and then joined together. The edge is worked gathered stitches along one long edge of the cuff and worked in the round.

Sizing Note: For best fit, measure mid-calf in upright position, make size 1-2″ [2-5 cm] smaller than measurement. This design is intended to fit comfortably around the calf.

Leg

Pc 21 (23, 25).

Row 1: Sc in 2nd sc from hook and in each sc across – 20 (22, 24) sc.

Rows 2-16 (18, 20): Sc 1, turn, working in back loops only, sc in each stitch across – 20 (22, 24) sc.

Joining Row: With wrong side facing, fold piece in half, line up stitches on first row with stitches on last row, working through both thicknesses, sl in each stitch across to join. Don’t button up. Turn the correct side of your leg outward.

Edge

Row 1: With the right side facing and working along the ends of the row, sc 3 (counts as first hdc and sc 1), skip next row, [hc in next row, sc 1, skip next row] 7 (8, 9) times, sl st in the 2nd sc of the initial 3rd sc to join – 8 (9, 10) hdc and 8 (9, 10) sc spaces.

Finish

Weave the ends. Weave the length of ribbon in and out of the 1 pc spaces on row 1 of the edge. Tie the ends into a bow.
