    Caliber

    Instructions

    The motifs are worked individually and joined in the shape of a tube. The waist and upper body are worked directly on the tube.

    Create each motif following the dot diagram and the given color sequence.

    Bottom edge

    Using the largest hook and CP, attach the yarn to any seams between the motifs along one open edge of the tube.

    Preparation round: Sc 1, sc in the same union, *sc in the corner space, 1 sc in each sc and in each space of sc 2 to the next corner, 1 sc in the corner, sc in the union (working approximately 13 bp for each motif); repeat from * around, skipping the last sc in the join, join with a sl to the initial sc – 104 (118, 130) sc.

    Row 1 (right side): Sc 1, sc2tog, (sc in next sc, sc 1, skip next sc) 12 (15, 18) times, sc in next sc, sc2tog, turn – 2 stitches dec, 27 (33, 39) remaining points/spaces.

    Row 2 (wrong side): Sc 1, sc in first sc, (sc 1, sc in sc 1 space) across, ending sc in last sc, turn.

    Row 3: Sc 1, sc2tog, work in established pattern to last 2 stitches, sc2tog, turn – 2 dec stitches, 25 (31, 37) stitches/spaces remaining.

    Row 4: Work in the established pattern until the end.

    Repeat rows 3-4, 3 (5, 7) more times – 19 (21, 23) stitches/spaces remaining.

    Switch to the smaller hook and CC6.

    Next row: Stc 1, hdc in each stitch/space across. Button up.

    Armhole edge/straps

    With CC6 and the smallest hook, pc 24 (28, 32). Fasten and set aside. With CC6 and smallest hook, sc 26 (30, 34), dc in fourth chain from hook and in each chain across, working along armhole of right front part starting at top of part right front, dc evenly down the right front, across the back and up the left front, dc in each pc from the reserved pc. Button up.
