Drill a hole in the center of the front of the leather strap, so that you can attach the magnetic rivet.

Place the other part of the magnetic rivet at the front, so that it fits the length of the leather strap. Sew across the rivet on the inside of the sleeve, so that the rivet does not touch/scratch the laptop.
