Crochet a very cute owl with this free owl crochet pattern. You can crochet this mini amigurumi with any yarn you like, but be sure to use the smallest crochet hook recommended in our materials, or the largest hook for the larger plush version. Let’s get started!

Eyes x2: Use white thread
Round 1: 8 sc in magic ring (8)
First ear: Use blue thread
Round 1: 4 SC in a magic ring (4)
Round 2: (Sc in next st, inc in next st) repeat 2 times (6)
Round 3: Sc in all 6 sts (6)

Second ear: Use blue thread
Round 1: Start with 4 sc in a magic ring (4)
Round 2: (Sc in next st, inc in next st) repeat 2 times (6)
Round 3: Sc in all 6 sts (6)
Round 4: Sc in the next 3 sts, 4 sts, (continue knitting the first ear, start in the first st of the last round) sc in the 6 sts, sc in the 4 sts, (continue in the second ear) sc in the next 3 sts (20)
Mark the beginning of each round with a piece of thread, so that you can count the stitches for each round later. To do this, use a long piece of wool.
Round 5: Sc in all 20 sts (20)
Round 6: (Inc in next st, sc in next 9 sts) repeat 2 times (22)

Glue safety eyes through the whites of the eyes. Insert both safety eyes between rows 8 and 9, 4 sts apart.
Sew the eyes to the head.
Sew the beak between the eyes on round 10.
If you want, you can turn the owl into a keychain by sewing two strands of thread folded at the top and attaching them to the inside of the body.

Finish the owl body by taking the last strand of yarn and sewing it through the front loops of each crochet st you made on the last round. He pulls the thread to close the hole. Now put a needle under the hole and knit the end of the yarn.
Wings x2: Light blue thread

Finish off leaving a long tail to sew.
Sew the wings to the sides of the body. The wings are sewn below row 9 with a space between 10 sts. Sew 4 small stripes between rows 11 and 12. Sew 3 small stripes between rows 12 and 13. Hide the excess thread under the wings.
