head
We will make the head with the wool of the color we have chosen (pink or mint). We will start with a ch and we will knit it on both sides to form an oval and continue knitting in rows.
We make 15 ch. We will knit the following rows on both sides of the chain to form an oval.
R1: We start in the 2nd ch from the hook and inc 3 sc, 12 sc, inc 3 sc, 12 sc (30).
R2: (3 inc, 12 sc) x2 (36).
V3-9: 36 sc (36).
R10: (3 dec, 12 sc)x2 (30).
R11: (Double dis, we decrease 3 sc at eleven, 12 sc)x2 (26).
R12: (2 sc, dis)x6, 2 sc (20).
eye spots
In this amigurumi we will make some white circles where we will put the safety eyes.
R1: AM 6 sc (6).
R2: 6 inc (12).
R3: (1 sc, inc)x6 (18).
We sew them to the head and put safety eyes on these.
Snout
We will knit the snout with white wool.
V1: AM 8 sc (8).
R2: 8 inc (16).
V3-4: 16 sc (16).
We end up with a pd.
We sew the nose to the face of our alpaca and embroider the nose and mouth.
Ears
We will knit the ears in the color we have chosen (pink or mint).
We make 6 ch. We will knit the following rows on both sides of the chain to form an oval.
R1: Starting with the 2nd ch from the hook we inc 3 sc, 3 sc, inc 3 sc, 3 sc (12).
R2: (3 inc, 3 sc) x2 (18).
R3: 18 sc (18).
We leave a long thread and sew the ears to the head of our alpaca.
Bodysuit
We will start by making two legs.
With white colour.
R1: AM 7 sc (7).
R2-4: 7 sc (7).
We change color (pink or mint).
R5-7: 7 sc (7).
In the 2nd leg we will not cut the thread, we make 4 ch and join it to the 1st leg on the inside with a st.
We will do round 8 passing through both ends of the 4 ch.
R8: 7 sc in the first leg, 4 sc in the ch stitches, 7 sc in the 2nd leg and 4 sc in the ch (22).
V9-12: 22 sc (22).
R13: 3 sc, dec, 9 sc, dec 6 sc (20).
R14: 3 sc, dis, 3 sc, dis, 3 sc, dis, 5 sc (17).
V15-18: 17 sc.
We will leave a long thread and sew the body to the head.
Arms
We will make two arms. We start with white.
V1: AM 8 sc (8).
R2-4: 8 sc (8).
We change color (pink or mint).
R5-9: 8 sc (8).
We will leave a long thread on each arm to sew them to the body.
Line
We will make the tail with the wool of the color that we have chosen for our alpaca.
R1: AM 6 sc (6).
R2-4: 6 sc (6).
We sew to the back of the body.
Finish
We can place some decoration on the neck of our alpaca, in the photo you can see a little star but you could also sew some wool pompoms.
