Instructions are given for 3 different small motifs that can be put together in many different ways. It includes a small heart that is worked in one round, a large heart that is worked in two, and a “divider” motif, which is essentially a mini training wheel.

The motifs can be joined in two different orientations: side by side to form a horizontal row, or stacked on top of each other for a vertical row. You can place as many motifs as you want within each row.

Once the orientation is decided, you can plan to repeat a single motif for the entire chain, or mix and match the motifs in any sequence you like.
