The piece is worked in rounds. Make 66 chains with the color Hellblau. Now work a basic round (S in the diagram) of treble crochets across the entire base chain = 63 treble crochets + 3 turning chains.
Now work 64 treble crochets back along the opposite side of the foundation chain.
Close the round with 1 slip stitch in the third chain of the turn.
Continue working according to the diagram for row/round 1.
All laps are closed with a sliding stitch where the color change occurs.
On round 2, work just 3 double crochets into the last stitch so that a fan is created with the initial double crochet out of a total of 7 double crochets, including 3 chain turns.
Work the color sequence for row/round 1-25 once on the round and then work row 1-16 on the round. Work 1 row/round for the finishing edge.
work
Use the thread that is left over. Now flip the work so that the opening is at the bottom and the bottom is at the top. Start on the outside of the work on round 11 (= 2. color sequence) to the right of a single crochet and work another single crochet in the same place.
Work another single crochet to the left of the single crochet on round 11. Then work another single crochet to the right and left of the next single crochet on round 11 = 4 single crochets.
From here, work 1 turning chain and 4 single crochets until you reach your desired handle length.
Attach the handle to the other side using the same principle with the slip stitch on round 11 (second color sequence).
Cut the thread and fasten.
