Crochet Fire Poppy Flower Instructions

• Round 1: Using the first color, ch 2, 8 sc in the 2nd ch from hook. Join with a pr in the first sc. Fasten the thread – 8 sc.
• Round 2: Join the next color in any stitch, make an initial check stitch, ch 3, *check stitch in the next stitch, ch 3; repeat from * 6 more times. Join with a sr to the first stitch of the pc 3 space. Fasten the thread – 8 popcorn stitches, 8 pc 3.
• Remember to pull your popcorn stitch before doing the next ch 3.
• Round 3: Join the next color in any ch 3 space, ch 1, 4 sc in the same space, * 4 sc in the next ch 3 space; repeat from * 6 times. Join with a pr to the first sc. Fasten – 32 sc.

• Round 4: Join the next color in the 3rd sc of any 4 sc group, ch 1, 1 sc in the same stitch, 1 hdc in the next stitch, [2 dc, pc 1, 2 dc] in the next stitch, 1 hdc in the next stitch, * 1 sc in the next stitch, 1 hdc in the next stitch, [2 tr, pc 1, 2 tr] in the next stitch, 1 hdc in the next stitch; repeat from * 6 times. Join with a pr to the first sc. Fasten the thread – 8 petals.
• Round 5: Join the next color in any 1 ch space from the center of the petal, ch 1, 1 sc in the same space, * ch 4, long sc around the next sc from the previous row – row 4 (between the petal) , ch 4, 1 sc in the next ch 1 space; repeat from * around, join with a st to the first sc to join. Buckle the thread.
