Information and advice

  • The house is worked in one piece, all around and in rows, with x sc- typical for amigurumi.
  • To make the house rigid, work the stitches very tight.
  • When you start working in rounds, remember to place the stitch marker and replace it after each round.

Submarine: Color 11

  • Round 1 in a am: 6 sc
  • Round 2: (Place st marker) inc around = 12 sts.
  • Round 3: (1 sc, inc) around = 18 sts.
  • Round 4: (2 sc, inc) around = 24 sts.
  • Round 5: (3 sc, inc) around = 30 sts.
  • Round 6: (4 sc, inc) around = 36 sts.
  • Round 7: (5 sc, inc) around = 42 sts.
  • Round 8: 1 SC around = 42 sts.
    Round 9: (6 sc, inc) around = 48 sts.
  • Round 10: (7 sc, inc) around = 54 sts.
  • Round 11: (8 sc, inc) around = 60 sts.
  • Round 12: (9 sc, inc) around = 66 sts.
  • Round 13-19: 1 sc around.

Now you will start to form a hole for the entrance

  • Round 20: 1 ch, turn and start crocheting with sc (from the inside of the house) until 12 sts before the end of the row, 1 ch and turn.
  • Rows 11-30: sc to the end, ch 1, turn.
  • Round 31: sc to the opening, 12 sc, 1 sc, place the st marker – it will be your first stitch of the round.
  • Round 32: 1 SC around, change to color 02
  • Round 33: (9 sc, dec) around = 60 sts.
  • Round 34: (8 SC, dec) around = 54 sts.
  • Round 35: (7 sc, dec) around = 48 sts.
  • Round 36: (6 SC, dec) around = 42 sts.
  • Round 37: (5 sc, dec) around = 36 sts.
  • Round 38: (4 sc, dec) around = 30 sts.
  • Round 39: (3 sc, dec) around = 24 sts.
  • Round 40: 1 SC around = 24 sts.
  • Round 41: 1 SC around = 24 sts.
  • Round 42: (2 sc, dec) around = 18 sts.
  • Round 43: (1 sc, dec) around = 12 sts.
  • Round 44: Dec around, join with a st = 6 sts.
  • Close the zipper.
  • With color 17, make 1 round of sc around the hole.
  • Knit the ends.

Window: Color 17

  • Round 1 in a am: 6 sc
  • Round 2: ( Place stitch marker) inc around = 12 sts.
  • Round 3: (1 sc, inc) around = 18 sts.
  • Close and leave a long tail to sew.
  • Determine how the entrance is going to be, in my case the submarine is tilted back a little so that the entrance is a little up. Next, sew the window next to the entrance hole.
  • Weave the ends.

Sail: Color 11

  • Round 1 in a am: 6 sc.
  • Round 2: (Place stitch marker) inc around = 12 sts.
  • Round 3: (2 sc, 2 inc) around = 18 sts.
  • Close and leave a long tail to sew.
  • Sew the sail to the top of the sub, above the entry hole.
  • Knit the ends.

Periscope: Color 11

  • Work 6 sc between the stitches in a hc at the top of the candle.
  • Crochet sc until the periscope measures 17 cm / 6.6″, close the round with a st.
  • Close the lap with a pr.
  • Pass the thread through the center of the periscope and fold it forward halfway and sew it in place with a st.
  • Close and knit the ends.

Rudders: Color 02

  • 7 ch, 2 sc from the second ch on the hook, 2 hdc, 1 dc, 5 dc in the same st, now start working on the other side of the ch, 1 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc, close with a pr .
  • Close and leave a long tail at the hem to sew. Make three rudders in total. Sew the three rudders to the end of the submarine. Knit the ends.
