These straps will fit a 38mm Apple Watch, if you have the 42mm you might consider working rows of 9 points instead of 7 points into your straps.
Crochet Apple Watch Strap Instructions
basic leash
1. Start with your 1.3mm steel hook. This small hook should go through the gap in the hardware bar. Make a slipknot, put the hook under the bar and grab the hook, pulling. Pc 1. Make 7 sc through the ironwork bar. Tour. (7 points)
Switch to the 2.25mm hook for the rest of the strap.
2. – 11. Pc 1. Pb in each stitch through. Turn (7 pts)
12. PC 1. Sc2tog. sc in the next 3 sts. Sc2tog. Tour. (5 points)
13. PC 1. Sc2tog. sc in the following sts. Sc2tog. Tour. (5 points)

Note: To make the edges a bit neater, lightly tug on the feed thread after each row to tighten it and tuck in any loop that may be in the edge when pulling it to feed.

Chart Notes: Don’t bring the middle color to the edge. You shouldn’t work a row of sc around the edge so you want it as clean as possible. Leave the color behind and finish the row with the main color, and pick up the 2nd color when you need it again in the next row.

Note: You can use the tails to even out the sides, or to fill in any gaps that need a little help as you knit (the back sides of the sc don’t fit as well as the front ones).
Finish
Finish your watch straps by pulling a few lengths of yarn and braiding them together (about 3 1/2″ long). Tie a tight knot at the end of each braid. You will use the braids to tie the watch to your wrist.
