    Instructions

    Chain 8; join with a pr to form a ring.

    Row 1: Dc 3 (counts as dc), 23 dc in the ring; Join with a sl st to the 3rd st of the initial st 3 – 24 dc.

    Row 2: Dc 4, * dc in next dc, dc 1, repeat from * around; join with a sl st in the 3rd sc of the initial 4th sq – 24 dc and 1 sc space.

    Row 3: Dc 3, * 2 dc in next dc space, dc in next dc space, repeat from * around, finishing last rep with 2 dc in last dc space; join with a sl st in the 3rd st of the initial st 3 – 72 dc.

    Row 4: Dc 1, dc in the same point of the union, * skip 2 dc, (dc, dc 1, [tr, dc 1] 3 times, dc – fan made) in the next dc; skip 2 dc, sc in next dc; repeat from * around; join with a sl st in the first sc – 12 fans.

    Round 5: Sc in the central space of sc 1 of the first fan, sc 1, sc in the same space, * sc 7, sc in the central space of sc 1 of the next fan, repeat from * around; join with a sl st in the first sc 12 loops of sc 7.

    Row 6: Sc 3, [9 dc in next loop, dc in next sc] 12 times; join with a sl st in the 3rd st of the initial st 3 – 120 dc.

    Row 7: Dc 4, * skip next dc, dc in next dc, dc 1, repeat from * around; join with a sl st in the 3rd pc of the initial pc 4 – 60 spaces of pc 1.

    Round 8: Repeat round 3 – 180 dc.

    Row 9: Dc 8, yarn over, pull loop in 6th, dc from hook, yarn over, skip, 2 dc, pull loop in next dc, [yarn over and pull through 2 loops] 4 times (beg of cross stitch done), [cross stitch] around; Join with a sl st in the sixth pc of the initial 8 pc – 60 crossed stitches.

    Row 10: Sc 3, * 2 dc in next 2 sc space, dc in first leg of next cross stitch, repeat from * around; join with a sl st in the 3rd st of the initial st 3 – 180 dc.

    Round 11: Repeat round 4 – 30 fans.

    Round 12: Repeat round 5 – 30 loops of pc 7.

    Row 13: Dc 3, *7 dc in next loop, dc in next dc, repeat from * around; join with a sl st in the 3rd st of the initial st 3 – 240 dc.

    Round 14: Repeat round 7 – 120 pc 1 spaces.

    Round 15: Repeat round 3 – 360 dc.

    Round 16: Repeat round 4 – 60 fans; fasten.

    Finish

    To block (optional), stretch and pin the folder to the circle. Spray with water until damp; let dry well. If it is not going to lock, gently press on the wrong side using the steam cotton function.
