Materials
✅ Nautical (#5398) – 2 rolls.
✅ Hook size H-8/5 mm.
✅ Fabric to lining the bag.
✅ 1 metal hook.
✅ 1 snap button 0.5″ in diameter.
Measures
✅ Bag measures approximately 12″ wide x 9.5″ tall.
Caliber
✅ 12 stitches x 9 rows = 4”/10 cm over the pattern.
Instructions
Edge stitch: Insert hook between the stitches of the last round, yarn over, pull to the right side, hold on hook, *insert hook between the next two stitches, yarn over, pull the yarn forward and into the loop of the hook*. Follow the diagram to knit the base and the main pattern of your piece.
Strap: Chain 5, close the ring and work in Crochet knit stitch up to 39.5″. fasten.
Tassel: Cut 17 12″ pieces of yarn, tie in the center leaving extra tail to tie, fold in half and tie several times about 0.5″ from the edge and secure with a knot.
assembly and finishing
Lining: Use the fabric to line the bag up to the buttonholes. Sew on the center snap button on the front and back. Insert the strap into the buttonholes and sew the edges. Tie the tassel onto the D-ring hook and place it center front as shown.
