Row 1: Crochet 2 tr in 3rd ch from hook (first pattern repeat done), *skip next 2 ch, (sc, 2 tr) in next ch; repeat from * to the last 3 ch, skip the next 2 ch, sc in the last ch-18 repetitions of the pattern.
Row 2: 2 ch, turn, 2 dc in first sc, *skip the next 2 dc, (sc, 2 dc) in next sc; repeat from * to the last group of 2 tr, omit the last group of 2 tr, sc in on top of the initial ch-2. Repeat row 2 until the piece measures approximately 16″ [40.5 cm] from the beginning. Do not close. Do not fasten
