Instructions
The 1st turn pc does not count as a point.
Always work a normal sc in the first and last stitch of each row.
Pc 31
Row 1: Work 1 sc in the 2nd pc from the hook. Work 1 sc in the next 3 pc, work the even garter stitch for 14 pc, work 1 sc in the next 12 pc.
For the “even garter stitch”, alternate between working a tr in one stitch and then a hdc in the next for an even number of stitches. Always start with a tr and always finish with a hdc whenever you come across the “even garter stitch” part of the pattern.
Row 2: Pc 1, turn the piece. Work 1 sc in the first stitch, work 1 sc blo in the next 11 stitches, work the even garter stitch in the next 14 stitches, work 1 sc in the next 3 stitches, work 1 sc in the last stitch.
Row 3: Pc 1, turn the piece. Work 1 sc in the first stitch, work 1 sc blo in the next 3 stitches, work the even garter stitch in the next 14 stitches, work 1 sc in the next 11 stitches, work 1 sc in the last stitch.
Rows 4-34: Repeat rows 2 and 3. You can make more or fewer rows, depending on how many rows you need for the glove to wrap around your palm.
Button up.
Sewing
Once the glove is wide enough to wrap around the palm of your hand, it’s time to sew it.
Basically, all you have to do is leave a hole in the center of the glove for your thumb to pass through.
The glove shown was sewn as follows: Sew 8 stitches together from the top of your glove and then sew 14 stitches up from the bottom of your glove.
Of course, you can always sew more or fewer stitches together depending on what is most comfortable for your thumb.
Weave all the ends.
