Materials
✅ Soft Mauve – 4 balls.
✅ Gancho de tamaño US D/3 (3.25 mm).
✅ Thread needle.
✅ Optional (for the lining): Sewing machine, hand sewing needle and thread, iron, sewing pins, 1⁄2 yd [0.5 m] of fabric for the lining 23 x 30.5 cm foam for crafts.
Measurements
✅ Bag measures approximately 10″ [25.5 cm] wide x 2 1⁄2″ [6 cm] deep x 9″ [23 cm] high, excluding straps.
Caliber
✅ One square = 4 3⁄4″ [12 cm] squares.
Instructions
The bag is made with 13 pieces: 9 squares, 2 triangles and 2 base/side/strip pieces.
The squares are worked in joined rows. The triangles are worked in rows back and forth.
The pieces are knitted together, using elastic stitch.
An optional fabric lining is sewn and inserted into the finished bag.
The “2 rows down” point is a point in the row numbered 2 less than the current row. For example, when working row 3, the stitch “2 rows down” is on row 3 – 2 = row 1.
Chain 3 at the beginning of the rows counts as a double crochet.
Join all rows with a slip stitch at the top of chain 3.
