Front part
Cloth Strips (make 30 with CP, 15 with A, and 15 with B.)

Row 1: (right side): 1 hdc in the 3rd ch on hook. 1 mpa in each pc until the end of the pc. Tour. 90 mpa.
Row 2 (wrong side): Pc 2. 1 hdc in each hdc until the end of the row. fasten.
Back (make 2 equal pieces)
With PC, pc 89.
Row 1 (right side): With SC, 1 hdc in the 3rd ch from hook, 1 hdc in each ch to the end of ch. Tour. 87 mpa.
Row 2: Pc 2. 1 hdc in each hdc until the end of the row. Tour.
Repeat the last row until the piece measures from the beginning 18″ [45.5 cm]. fasten.

front fabric
Place all the CP fabric strips, right side up, with the long edge sides touching to form a square. Use pins to pin the fabric strips together along the left side.
Weave 1 strip A, right side up, through strips from CP. Weave 1 strip B, right side up, into opposite strips of A. Repeat with remaining strips, alternating A and B.
See the diagram. When the weaving is complete, secure the ends of the strips with pins. With the correct side facing you, attach CP with a pr to either corner. pc 1.
Working through all the thicknesses, sc evenly around 4 sides to secure the ends of the strips, keeping 3 sc in each corner. Join with a pr to the first sc. fasten.
Front and back joining
Overlap the back pieces to match the front, wrong sides together, leaving an opening in the center back to insert the cushion shape.
With the right side facing you, join the CP with a sr at either corner of the cushion. Pc 1. Working through all thicknesses, sc evenly around 4 sides of the cushion, keeping 3 sc in each corner. Join with a pr in the first sc. fasten. Insert the cushion shape.
