Instructions

Head/Body: In main color

Round 1: 21 PCs. Sc in 2nd sc from hook. SC in that same st 2 more times. Sc in the next 18 sts. 3 sc times in next st. Now we are on the other side of the pc. SC in the next 18 sts (42)

Rounds 2-8: *Sc* around (42)

Round 9: *Dec, 5 sc* all around (36)

Rounds 10-11: *Sc* all around (36)

Round 12: Sc in the next 8 sts. In FLO (front loop only), dc in next 12 sts, in both loops, sc in next 16 sts (36)

Shaping the head: In the main color

Insert the needle with the thread into the bottom center of the head as shown (Photo 1). Take the needle out from the right side of the head, one turn before the double stitches (Photo 2). Reinsert the needle one point to the left (Photo 3) and remove the needle from the original insertion point (Photo 4). Reinsert the needle one stitch to the left (Photo 5), and bring the needle out from the left side of the head, one row before the treble crochets (Photo 6).

Reinsert the needle one point to the left (Photo 7) and remove it from the original insertion point (Photo 8). You will now have two thread tails. Pull firmly on both ends of the thread at the same time to tighten the shape of the face (Photos 9-10). Tie a knot several times with both ends of the thread (Photo 11) and weave the ends into your head. Ready.

Eyes: (beam 2) Blank

Round 1: 6 SC in the magic ring (6)

Round 2: *Inc* around (12)

Rounds 3-5: *Sc* around (12)

Finish by leaving a long tail to sew and insert a safety eye on the last round. Pin to head as shown. Sew.

Eyelids: (Make 2) In contrast color

Round 1: 9 Pc. Dc in 2nd sc from hook. Da in the next 7 pc. Finish off and add to the eye as shown. Sew.

Ears: (Make 2) In main color

Round 1: 6 sc in magic ring (6)

Finish and refer to the “Paw Shape” step mentioned below. Once the shape of the legs is finished, pin the arms to the dog as shown. Sew.

Legs: (Make 2) In main color

Round 1: 9 PCs. Sc in 2nd sc from hook. Sc 2 more times in that same st, sc in the next 6 sts, sc 3 times in the next st. Now we are on the other side of the pc. SC in the next 6 sts (18)

Round 2: *Inc* in the next 3 sts, sc in the next 6 sts, *inc* in the next 3 sts, sc in the last 6 sts (24)

Rounds 3-8: *Sc* around (24)

Round 9: *Dec, 2 sc* all around (18)

Round 10: *Dec, 4 sc* all around (15)

Rounds 11-15: *Sc* around (15)

Finish and refer to “Paw Shape” below. Once the shape of the legs is finished, pin the arms to the dog as shown. Sew.

Shape of the legs: (Do on all legs) In the main color

Take a ~12″ piece of Main Color yarn and insert it into a needle. Now insert the needle into the bottom right of the leg as shown (Photo 1). Pull the needle at the top right of the leg as shown (Photo 2). Now reinsert the needle into the original insertion point (Photo 3). Pull the needle out at the top left of the leg as shown (Photo 4). Reinsert the needle into the lower left part of the leg (Photo 5). Pull the needle back to the original insertion point (Photo 6). There will be two threads left. Pull firmly on both threads at the same time to tighten the paw markings (Photo 7). Tie a knot several times with both ends of the thread. Pull both ends of the thread toward the inside of the leg to hide the tails. Cut the excess thread.
